Wassup LiyiaTribe!!!!!! Thank you for tuning in at Under the Layers. Today is March 2, 2021, and Welcome to March ladies and gentleman! Today we are going to be talking about how to become a better writer. I am nowhere near a perfect writer, and there are so many things I need to and want to know. Everything takes time and everything is a learning experience, this may seem boring to most but that is ok I want to be open to new and not general topics to keep my writing moving. Remember that throughout each week you will also still learn more about me since I am still learning about myself. Without further ado, let us get into some tips on how we all can become a better writer. First things first (I’m the realist) always use grammarly or something similar when writing or when you are about to turn this in. Many points are deducted from the average writing assignment because of spelling and grammar errors. Another good strategy to use when trying to become a better writer is write regularly whether it’s in a journal or blog it helps you develop the mentality that you can just sit down and start writing instead of having to take a couple of minutes trying to figure out how and what you are going to write about. The third way to become a better writer is add on or join a writing workshop class, I tried to do this in the beginning of my senior year because it would have helped me tremendously, butttt college classes are kicking my ass and they want all the attention when it comes to school. The fourth tip I can think of is making up a lot of stories, this opens your creativity spectrum in amazing ways. When you do this, you will have no problem throwing your creative writing style in a challenging prompt where you don’t know where to stop. The final substantial tip I have for you guys today is take notes from a teacher, now this isn’t the same as taking a workshop, I mean go to office hours if you are in college or go to tutoring if you are in high school as your English teachers there fan favorites of writing and why. Even ask them some of their favorite writing pieces and if you can look at them, this can help you base you are writing about something. This is going to sum up our blog for the day, I hope you enjoyed I found this very interesting and will be looking back at this in the future.
