Wassup LiyiaTribe thank you for tuning in another week at Under the Layers. Today is November 12, 2020, and today I have scheduled a story time about true friends and fake friends. If you want just a little more insight into my life, feel free to check out my homepage where you can see brief segments about present-day Caliyia. Remember that throughout each week you will also still learn, more about since I am still learning about myself. Without further ado, let us get into the story time. Everyone that you meet comes with a mask, and people keep on that mask for some time. Then one out of two things can happen. Option 1, they have been showing you there true self and you will be just fine and thrive in a friendship. Or, they were trying to mirror your personality for you to like them but in their act they mess up big time and show you who they really are. That is the funny thing about new people depending on what option you get some people can keep their mask on for years and not miss a beat with what they’re doing, that a very toxic trait. I have had several toxic friends in my short time being on earth. They did not have my best interest at heart but some things you just have to move on from and just release that negative energy. If you spend, all of your time focusing on something negative you allow negativity to take over your mind/ life. How do I know? Because I was that person. I can’t come on here and talk to you guys like I’m holier then thou, I’m just simply not. I was toxic and self-destructing. I was lost and attached myself to anybody that would give me the time or day. It starts with accepting your wrongs. I am still trying to build off my mistakes and make myself a better person then who I was. With that being said, changing is not bad ether it can actually build your character it all depends on priorities and you mentality. I will not say names nor get into the mess this here story-time; but these people molded me into who I am today. Moreover, there not all friends’ ether I know most of you have dealt with someone toxic whether it is a boyfriend, girlfriend, bestfreind, or family member. Trust your first instinct and remember not everyone that comes into your life is supposed to stay. Watch your back; you never know who has your best interest at heart.
